September 25, 2008Former Shell president unveils new web site
Last month, I interviewed former Shell Oil President John Hofmeister, discussing his views on a national energy plan. In the column, I mentioned the grass-roots, non-profit organization he was forming to help get his energy message to the people. The Citizens for Affordable Energy web site is now up and running. Hofmeister favors a broad-based approach to solving our energy problems that includes the long-term development of alternative fuels paired with short-term efforts to boost conventional production. Hofmeister, by the way, also is a participant in my Energy Ideas forum.
